Located on the edge of the Lachine Canal, the Bassins du Havre project was created in 2011. Inspired by the history of the site, the designers have chosen to recreate the enclosures of the four basins dug in the 1870s to be used for commercial navigation. The project consists of 505 residential units of various types and sizes, giving pride of place to families. The whole is unified by a concept of friendly landscape architecture, with abundant green and recreational spaces. The Bassins du Havre project includes LEED NC certification with the following objectives: ecological site development, effective water management, energy and atmosphere, material and resource, quality of indoor environments, and innovation in process design.
